Barolo and Dolcetto by bike

4 days/3 nights

Starting from € 359,00 per person, based 2 people. Bike rental and luggage transfer included.

Don’t get stranded! Langhe are perfect for cycling: discover them by bike!

Bike is actually the perfect way to enjoy the beautiful Langhe landscapes, crossing the vineyards or the ancient villages. It’s good for everybody, ups and downs more or less demanding and, if you cannot do it, there are the wineries strategically located ready to help you with a glass of good wine!

Or you can use the Ebike (electric bike), so you can enjoy the pleasures of a bike ride (silence, possibility to stop whenever you want, freedom of movement) without great efforts.

The itinerary includes totally 115 km to be covered in 4 days between the scenic hills of Barolo land up to the borders of Alta Langa, the wildest side of our territory. The accommodation is scheduled in typical B&B, with departure and return to Alba, visiting wineries and local farms to taste food and wines directly from producers’ home.

We plan to let you find the bikes on the first day and to move your luggages from one B&B to the next.

The first part of the tour goes through the main villages of the Barolo area: Roddi, Verduno, Grinzane Cavour, Castiglione Falletto and Monforte. Then you’ll reach Dogliani where one of the wine’s local promoters was a past president of the Italian Republic, Luigi Einaudi, who was born in the area and Farigliano, perfect soils for Dolcetto vines.

From Farigliano the uphill to Alta Langa begins where the hills, too high to allow the cultivation of the vine, offer a good opportunity to the hazelnuts (Nocciola Tonda Gentile di Langa Igp) and, with the green pastures, a large production of tasty cheeses.

Return to Bassa Langa through Sinio, a small village wealthy in legends of the popular tradition that mark it as a land of “masche” (witches in Piedmontese dialect).
